Arty Card – Your Need Sunglasses!

This card is for my friend, she is a keen on all sorts of craft including painting.  I’ve seen various versions of this card this is my version using Clarity stamps.

Splodged background using distress stains, I then added the easel, brushes, & tube of paint using sticky fixers to give them all some height.  I layered onto the pink & yellow cardstock.

Second Post Of The Week!

I make no excuses for still being in my Sam Poole phase, this time using her Enchanted Tree’s stamps.  I see this set as being more for masculine cards but thought I would try for a more feminine card, I think it works, what do you think? I used the card Sam made on C&C for inspiration.

Distressed background, then after dusting with an antistatic bag I inked and embosses the big tree with detail clear embossing powder, I then added cosmic shimmer pearl PVA berry red to the tree mat and layering onto lilac cardstock.

Recipe;
Card used; Crafters Companion Neenah classic ultra-smooth, Papermill lilac card
Stamps; Sam Poole – Enchanted Tree
Distress Inks; Milled Lavender, Tattered Rose, Stormy Sky
Cosmic Shimmer Pearl PVA Berry Red
Bits n pieces from my stash to finish off

A Crafty Day @ Last

At last after SO much golf I managed to get into my craft room today and make a couple of men’s cards.  I know it was the hottest day of the year so far in the South East but, I don’t know when I’ll get another full day to craft and if I can play golf in the rain, I can make cards in the heat!
This card is for my nephew’s birthday next month, OK you’ve already guessed it’s another Sam Poole design, this time the Sherlock Holmes set.  Doesn’t take a genius to work out I’m a fan of Sam’s stamps does it!  I particularly liked these sets for men’s cards.  The photo frame is from another of her sets called Vintage Photography, the wording fitted perfectly.  I can see I will get lots of use from these sets always a bonus when money has been invested!

Fathers Day Card

I’ve made this card for my son Steve to give to his dad.  Not your traditional father’s day card, but I wanted to use my new Sam Poole stamps and since when has my husband every taken too much notice of what we make for him…. Lol  I'm a big fan of Sam's stamps, every time she's on C&C I say to myself 'don't buy anything' shows how much I listen to me doesn’t it!!  Hope you like it.

Commissioned Birthday Card

At last the suns decided to make a visit to Kent, not all the time as it doesn’t want to spoil us, but occasionally is better than it has been so far this year!  Can’t believe I played golf on Friday in the sun as I’ve become so used to playing in full wet gear!

Today’s card is a commissioned card for my friend to give to a lady who loves needlework despite being 80 later this month.  I have the Clarity Remountable Haberdashery Set so that seemed perfect for this card.
