Hey Ho Old Chap!

Morning, hope you’re keeping count of how many cards I’m blogging at the moment!  On a bit of a role at as I want to get the majority of my cards for this year made before I start on this years Christmas cards.
Quick n easy this one, it’s for my son Steve’s 36th birthday.

Started by embossing the card using a diamond mask; then used distress ink to highlight the raised areas.  Stamped the sentiment then added the moustaches, job done.

Citizenship Card

Good evening everyone, something totally different today.  My nephew married a wonderful American lady 8 years ago and as she has lived in this country for the past 10 years she has now become a British Citizen, how great it that!!  Hence the card below; all the stamps are from Clarity and I downloaded the flags. I think it looks nice and clean so almost a CAS card!
Recipe;
Card used; Crafters Companion Neenah classic ultra-smooth cardstock, Papermill Direct, Red & Blue cardstock
Stamps; Clarity – Statue of Liberty, London bus & telephone box

Thanks for looking today, I do read all your comments.

PanPastle Card

Afternoon peeps, the sun still has his hat on and the British Open is on the TV for the next four days, so all is right in my world.   I’ve managed to make a pans card this morning despite having one eye on the golf.

Started by doing the sky and sun using the cloud mask and a mask for the sun, adding hills before using hairspray to ‘fix’ the pans then stamped the silhouette images.  I then used pans directly onto the base card so it extended the picture before again ‘fixing’ the pans with hairspray.  I used a nice bright orange then deep pink card to mat and layer the topper and then matted it onto the base card.  That’s it job done, need to get back to watching the golf with both eyes now. Thanks for looking today.

Recipe;
Card used; Papermill white linin,  orange & pink cardstock
Stamps; Clarity – Meadow Dance, Tree
Sentiment; Clarity – Sending You Sunshine

Gone Fishing…..

Now I know your all thinking, ‘wot no golf again, blimey she’s only made another blooming card’!  That’s 4 this month + a workshop.  Played golf yesterday and will be again on Saturday, even an addict like me needs to sit down and craft sometimes….. lol

I digress, fishy card; months ago now I bought some stamps from the talented Ryn (Designs by Ryn ~ Rubber Stamps) but just haven’t got round to using them until now.  I complained on fb that I had no fish and the lovely Rae Fairefoxes Dalal sent me the large fish I used on this card. (http://fairefoxes.blogspot.co.uk/)

Started by distressing the background then added the sea weed, kelp etc then added the fish.  I used cosmic shimmer powder to colour the large fish, you can’t really see it but they look really pearly with a lovely shine, added the water drops again using cosmic shimmer powders, lastly I added a couple of gems for bubbles.  Took a bit of time, but I’m pleased with the result.

Recipe;
Card used; Crafters Companion Neenah classic ultra-smooth cardstock, papermill direct teal card stock
Stamps; Clarity – fish stamps
Stamps; Design by Ryn – Seaweed, Kelp, Circle Cluster & water droplets
Distress Inks;  faded jeans, weathered wood, stormy sky, tumbled Glass, peeled paint, shabby shutters & Victorian velvet
From my stash; cosmic shimmer powders, gems
I read all the comments, so thanks for looking today. xx

Husbands Birthday Card

I’ve made another card for Bob as I wasn’t happy with my first effort;  I’m happy with this one.  I used all Clarity stamps for this card, the shell stamps were used to make the background paper, then distress inks and some copic’s pens to colour the shells.  I stamped the deck chair and beach huts on a separate piece of card and again used copic pens to colour the images, then used glossy accents on the deck chair seat to add some dimension.   I may enter this card into this month’s Clarity challenge.

Recipe;
Card used; Crafters Companion Neenah classic ultra-smooth cardstock, papermill direct red card stock, kraft card
Stamps; shells, beach house, deck chair
From my stash; glossy accents
and glamor dust

Eileen’s July Workshop

Another thoroughly delightful day spent with Eileen and likeminded crafters in Allhallows.  The following makes are from yesterday’s workshop.  Everyone really loved making the large hero art flower card, such a lovely stamp; you can find the technique we used on Eileen’s blog at http://eileenscraftyzone.blogspot.co.uk/

New House Card

This card has been commissioned so I tried to do something a bit different (for me).   The stamps are called ‘Build a Country Scene, no idea where they come from just found them in the bottom of my box, but I think they work for a house moving card.  I stamped the house first, then put a mask over it and stamped the tree then added the fence. I embossed the mask onto white card before adding distress inks and cutting out the middle, layered it all together, job done..

Recipe;
Card used; Crafters Companion Neenah classic ultra-smooth, Papermill orange cardstock
Stamps; Build a Country Scene
Ali Reeves; That Special Touch 6 x 6 Mask – Meadow

Distress Inks; peeled paint, black soot, rusty hinge
Bits n Pieces from my stash

Hope you like this 1, leave me a message and let me know you've been.

New Baby CAS Card

This card is for my niece & her husband who recently had a baby boy.  Wanted to do a CAS card, (clean and simple) I think this falls within that brief.  Having decided on the layout I stamped the images before re stamping the top, booties and baby grow onto small pieces of blue paper, I then cut them out sticking them over the images.  This has the clean look I was going for and was nice n easy to make.

Recipe;
Card used; Crafters Companion Neenah classic ultra-smooth  cardstock
Papers were from my scrap box
Stamps; Clare Shuttleworth clear stamps
